Meeting of the National Committee of Foreign Trade Advisors of France (Bali, 5-6 October 2017) [fr]
For their annual global meeting on October 5-6, France’s foreign trade advisors chose Indonesia.
The theme of the meeting is “Another world, views of the Asia-Pacific,” and will include discussions on the following topics: maritime issues, innovation, geopolitical challenges, macroeconomics, and financing. French companies have strong interests in Asia. The volume of their trade with Asian countries totaled €145 billion in 2016 and the growth rate of the regional GDP, which is about 5% annually, offers attractive prospects.
The presence of major French economic and trade actors at this meeting (MEDEF International, Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Business France, BPI) will help us take stock of the government system to strengthen and streamline exports, one of Jean-Yves Le Drian’s priorities.
The network of foreign trade advisors includes more than 4,000 representatives of companies that make their experience and expertise available free of charge to boost France’s presence and influence in the world. In France and in 149 countries, they have a key role to play in advising the government, offering support to SMEs in their international development, and training young people in order to increase the number of exporting companies and strengthening our appeal to investors.
