Mobilization of the expertise of the Grand Port Maritime of Le Havre for capacity building of the Indonesian Port Authorities and sharing of experience [fr]
The 2nd session of training and peer-to-peer exchange was held from September 24 to October 6, 2018 in Jakarta. It follows a first study tour to Le Havre in July 2018. These exchanges are organized within the framework of the partnership between the Directorate General of Sea Transport (Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Indonesia) and the Grand Port Maritime of Le Havre (GPMH), funded by AFD, the French Development Agency.
The training, which took place over two weeks in Jakarta, brought together representatives of 30 Indonesian Port Authorities from all over the archipelago.
It allowed sharing the "eco-port" approach, dedicated to a more environmentally responsible port management and for which Port of Le Havre is internationally recognized: port waste management, tools for assessing the environmental performance of ships...
Through the mobilization of French expertise and Development Policy Loan, AFD supports the improvement of the governance and performance of ports in Indonesia, one of the pillars of maritime transport reform undertaken by the Government of Indonesia.
